The name draws inspiration from the Chinese and Western zodiac signs of our founders, Fu Ting-Yun (Dragon) and Hsieh I-Ting (Pisces). Together, these symbols evoke the idiom 魚躍龍門, or ‘a fish leaping over the Dragon Gate.’
This phrase originates from an ancient Chinese legend in which a carp, after braving the fierce currents of the Yellow River, leaps over the mythical Dragon Gate and transforms into a dragon – anenduring symbol of perseverance, transformation, and triumph over adversity. At our firm, this spirit of relentless determination and the pursuit of excellence lies at the heart of everything we do.
